In the violin world, historic is everything. In guitars it isn't. At least not to anywhere near the extent copying is in violins. I found this site of a guitar collection with some normal, but unusual today models; along with some absolutely stunning models. Scale length is all over the place. Most of the Spanish ones look very much like contemporary instruments. They have many photos, and a rotating view of each instrument, with something about them. Oh, I forgot. Great site. One of my clients, Jon Mendle, can be seen performing on their Voboam baroque guitar as well as a few other videos. |
